Braided River Solar Architectural Design
RD17
Fairlie
Over ten years experience in residential house design out in the
Mackenzie District environment. Regional design solutions developed
from a broad knowledge of local climatic conditions. Whether it is
an addition to an existing dwelling or a new house project each
design is unique to its site. Passive solar design principles allow
a home to farm the low winter and shoulder season warmth from the
sun whilst managing the overheating that can occur through a hot
summer period.
We listen to our clients and braid a narrative around their
requirements. Clients are encouraged to participate through all
stages of the design process.
The aim is to design houses that are not only beautiful, exciting
and comfortable to live in but have higher than standard levels of
energy efficiency and sustainability in design and materials. The
result is greater comfort and better health.
Operated by husband and wife team, Roland & Anj de Beer, eat Deli & Bar, provides customers with a wide range of healthy delicatessen style food made on site, as well as selected New Zealand wines and Monteiths beer on tap.
Sited in a 100+ year old building, the premises have been refitted throughout to accommodate the restaurant and bar. Improvements include a mezzanine floor, a children's playroom and a covered verandah with views of the Dobson mountain range.
