There are three churches in Fairlie and historic churches in nearby Cave, Burkes Pass and Tekapo. Most hold services every Sunday and some are available for weddings.

St Patricks Union Church
Available for weddings led by clergy or civil ceremonies, its
quaint gothic style porch has provided a memorable frame for many a
wedding photograph. The first tiny wooden church built by the early
Mackenzie settlers in 1872, it has withstood snow and gales for
nearly 140 years. Multi purpose uses such as a heritage venue for
