Mackenzie Market
Mackenzie Market runs each year from Labour Weekend through to Easter. It operates from under the shop verandas on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays through November, February, March from 9.30 til 1pm. December and January every Saturday. Stalls offer preserves, wooden toys etc, seasonal vegetables, plants, cards, crafts, smoked foods, knitted goods, Alpaca products, Bows, Jewelry and much more.

The Burkes Pass Heritage Trust
The Burkes Pass Heritage Trust is registered with the Charities Commission and is restoring the centre piece of Burkes Pass, St Patricks Church, the oldest union church building in New Zealand. We promote the local heritage of Burkes Pass, and are involved in a wide range of activities including; restoration of cob cottages and huts, a heritage walk through the township, planting local native vegetation , collecting photographic and written archival material, recording of oral histories and giving talks and tours by arrangement.
